Police picked up the girl at her home in Cheras on Sunday afternoon and have obtained a remand order for her until June 11.According to the girl’s parents, she too had been a victim of the taxi driver for almost a year and had been forced into helping him record the rapes. Ampang Jaya deputy OCPD Supt Amiruddin Jamaluddin confirmed the arrest. Asked if police were still looking for a second taxi driver, who police initially thought had helped record the rapes, Supt Amiruddin said investigations were continuing.
“We appreciate the media attention given to this case as it has helped us receive more tips from the public,” he said.
Last week, police arrested the suspect at a taxi stand in Jalan Imbi following police reports by three teenage girls that he had raped them and kept them as sex slaves for almost a year. The taxi driver was reported to have preyed on at least six secondary school girls aged between 15 and 17 by waiting outside their schools to get them into his taxi. He would then pretend to have an emergency at home and ask them if he could stop there first. Once at his house in Taman Muda, Ampang, he would force the girls into his house and rape them.
The rape would be recorded and he would then threaten to make the videos public if the girls told anyone what had happened.
He would later call the girls whenever he wanted sexual favours, using the recordings to force their compliance.
The remand order for the suspect, who has been a taxi driver for 17 years, ends today but is expected to be extended.

Remaja subahat rakam adegan rogol ditahan
AMPANG: Remaja perempuan yang bersekongkol mengambil gambar ketika seorang perogol bersiri melakukan hubungan seks dengan mangsanya ditahan jam 4.45 petang di rumahnya di Taman Cheras, kelmarin. Difahamkan, remaja terbabit berusia 18 tahun rakan kepada perogol bersiri berkenaan dan dia ditugaskan mengambil video ketika suspek melakukan aksi seks dengan beberapa mangsanya.
Menurut sumber polis, remaja perempuan terbabit ditahan reman empat hari bermula hari ini (semalam) bagi membantu siasatan kes terbabit.
“Hasil soal siasat, kamimenjejaki remaja perempuan terbabit yang juga seorang pelajar dan setakat ini polis masih menjalankan siasatan berhubung pembabitannya.
“Kami belum mengetahui sama ada dia menjadi orang tengah atau menerima upah daripada suspek dan setakat ini polis masih memburu seorang lagi lelaki dipercayai dapat membantu siasatan,” katanya.
Sumber terbabit berkata, polis turut merampas telefon bimbit dan juga komputer milik remaja berkenaan dan siasatan lanjut masih diteruskan untuk mencari bukti sama ada gambar aksi seks itu disimpan.
Difahamkan, remaja perempuan yang ditahan itu turut pernah menjadi mangsa cabul perogol bersiri terbabit dan aksinya turut dirakam membuatkan dia terpaksa mengikut segala kata-kata suspek. Sementara itu Timbalan Ketua Polis Ampang Jaya, Superintendan Amiruddin Jamaluddin ketika dihubungi mengesahkan penahanan remaja perempuan berkenaan bagi membantu siasatan dalam kes terbabit.
“Polis masih menjalankan siasatan lanjut bagi mengenal pasti pembabitan remaja terbabit dalam kes ini dan dia kini ditahan untuk membantu siasatan,” katanya.
